DRIVE BELT JTBELT
The DRIVE BELT JTBELT is engineered to meet the demands of various V-belt manufacturers. It is essential to understand that different measurement techniques and production methods can lead to variations in length specifications. However, these differences do not compromise the belts‘ functionality.
To ensure accurate fitment, it’s crucial to consider external length (Le), internal length (Li), and pitch length, which is measured at approximately 3/4 height of the belt according to DIN 2215 standards. Additionally, adhere to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified belt tension for optimal performance.
Be mindful that discrepancies in V-belt dimensions can occur, even on the same vehicle. Therefore, refer exclusively to our vehicle assignments for compatibility.
For Piaggio scooters, particular attention should be given to the oil pump belt after a V-belt failure. Broken V-belts may release debris, potentially damaging the oil pump belt located behind the variomatic. It’s advisable to inspect the condition of the oil pump belt hidden from immediate view, and replace it as needed. Neglecting this can lead to severe issues like piston seizure.
